CHM 111 — General Chemistry I

Chm 111 is the first course in a two-semester general chemistry sequence covering the fundamental laws and theories of chemistry with applications to the descriptive chemistry of the elements. Topics for this course include: matter and measurement, atomic structure, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, kinetic theory of gases, periodicity, thermochemistry, chemical bonding, molecular geometry and bonding theories, as well as properties of liquids, solids, and solutions.

Prerequisites: CHM 103, CHM 104B, MAT 108, MAT 121, MAT 125, MAT 123, MAT 131
