CIS 111 — Introduction to Information Technology and Applications

An introduction to the terminology and concepts associated with personal computer technology. Computer systems, hardware, software and applications which focus around the personal computer (PC) will be discussed. Hands-on assignments introducing students to computer concepts such as spreadsheets, slideshows, e-mail, searching the Internet, cloud storage, online collaboration and building and deploying a webpage are included in the course. Taught in a lab setting.
