COM 219 — Television News Production
An advanced television news production course with emphasis on the role of the producer. Students combine field reporting and studio production to create news-oriented programs. Broadcast journalism and news production techniques are developed. Students work as producers, directors, anchors, reporters and studio crew to complete program-length projects. Program concepts are developed in consultation with the instructor.
