ENG 214 — Poetry Writing

3 credits · 3 hours

This course studies poetic technique and form, studies contemporary poetry and its venues today, and discusses student poems in a workshop format. Frequent writing and reading assignments as well as written peer reviews will be included in the course. Introduction to portfolio development will occur. Students who earn a grade of C or above may continue by registering for three free elective credits. Prerequisite/Corequisite: One course in -110.

Prerequisites: ENG 102, ENG 103, ENG 104, ENG 105, ENG 106, ENG 107, ENG 108, ENG 109, ENG 110
