ENG 216 — Fourth Genre: Creative Nonfiction

A 200-level writing class that focuses on the art of nonfiction writing. Through various readings, this course will address the literary history of the evolving genre and examine the subgenres of creative nonfiction (often referred to as the fourth genre). Students will explore how the craft of prose writing connects with writing in a variety of disciplines, including science, history, journalism, and cultural studies. Prerequisite/Corequisite: One course in -110.

Prerequisites: ENG 102, ENG 103, ENG 104, ENG 105, ENG 106, ENG 107, ENG 108, ENG 109, ENG 110
