TEC 130 — Introduction to RFID

A survey of the history, theory, and application of Radio Frequence Identification or RFID. The course will explore how to best fit an RFID system to various applications. Topics include; RF characteristics and encoding, the basic principles of RFID (base and transponders), business reasons for using it, and various companies who provide RFID systems and components.

Prerequisites: MAT 097, MAT 108, MAT 121, MAT 123, MAT 125
