ACH242 — Health and Sustainability in the Built Environment

3 credit hours - One hour of lecture and four hours of laboratory weekly; one term. This course meets the Wellness Requirement. Explore how buildings impact human health, well-being, and environmental performance. Assess healthy interior and exterior environments and their influence on communities and society. Examine sustainable design principles and industry frameworks including LEED Rating System and WELL Building Standard. Evaluate building systems, materials, and integrated design and construction strategies used to achieve sustainable, high-performance, and healthy built environments. Lab fee $20.
