ACH270 — Building Information Modeling
3 credit hours - Two hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. Introduces the relationship between design and building information modeling. Explores the use of the latest building information modeling technology as it applies to the sequence of the design and construction documentation process. Focuses on the appropriate application of technology through the use of parametric building objects. Discusses the basic concepts of building information modeling and how it applies to the design work environment. Course uses Revit software by Autodesk. Lab fee $20.
