ART234 — Painting and Abstraction
3 credit hours - Two hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory weekly; one term. Discover the history of abstraction with a focus on painting. Learn abstraction as an artistic concept and as a technique for creating artwork. Create abstract paintings using a variety of materials and methodologies. Develop your own creative vision when making an abstract painting through independent projects, demonstrations, and critiques. Lab fee $50.
