BIO100 — Introduction to Biology
4 credit hours - Three hours of lecture and three hours laboratory weekly, one term. This course meets the Biological and Physical Sciences General Education Requirement. Explore the science of biology; learn about the diversity of living organisms and their roles in various environments. Gain an understanding of cellular chemistry and genetics and how molecular biology and biotechnology are capable of changing organisms. Examine how ecosystems function and how global changes are impacting populations and biodiversity. Lab fee $45. Note: Students may not use this course to substitute for BIO 101 . Credit is not given for both BIO 100 and BIO 101 .
