4 credit hours - Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. This course meets the Biological and Physical Sciences General Education Requirement. Gain an introduction to members of the plant kingdom and their closest relatives. Learn the unique life strategies of plants that are the basis for their importance to humans and their role in shaping global ecology. Through an examination of plant form and function, students will learn how and why plant life defines the biological potential of both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Lab fee $60.
