BIO113 — Sustainable Horticulture
4 credit hours - Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. This course meets the Biological and Physical Sciences General Education Requirement. Identify native and cultivated plants used in horticulture, landscaping and restoration. Apply the principles of sustainability to the propagation, growth and use of these plants in horticultural settings. Topics include plant form and function, soil fertility, propagation, biotechnology and integrated pest management. Lab fee $50.
