BIO220 — Genetics with Laboratory
4 credit hours - Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. Formerly BIO 220 - Genetics This course meets the Biological and Physical Sciences General Education Requirement. Study the mechanism of heredity, moving from the discoveries of Mendel through molecular genetics. Apply studies in viral, prokaryotic and eukaryotic model systems to the understanding of human inheritance and molecular genetics. Perform techniques used in research and biotechnology settings. Lab fee $70. Note: Credit is not given for both BIO 220 and BIO 212 or BIO 220 and BIO 285 Special Topics in Biology - Genetics.
