BPA231 — Nonprofit Management

3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. Formerly ESI 231-Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship and Nonprofit Management Provides an overview of how to start, lead, manage, and promote nonprofit organizations. Examines ways to define a community’s needs to establish an organization’s direction, work with a board of directors, and lead both volunteer and paid staff members. Discusses how to use marketing tools for developing and sustaining relationships with benefactors and beneficiaries. Introduces other critical topics including strategic planning, operations management, human resources management, customer relationship management, legal requirements, public relations, political action, fundraising and financial management. Note: Credit will not be given for BPA 231 and also ESI 231. Location(s) Typically Arnold Main Campus (MC) and Online (OL) Course
