3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. Examine current issues and best practices in freight logistics and operations. Explore the intricacies of managing the movement of goods within a single country (domestic) as well as across international borders, fostering a deep understanding of the supply chain and global trade processes. Study topics to include transportation providers, regulation and policy, carrier strategies, costing and pricing, information systems, transportation management, and the negotiation and bidding process.
