DHY204 — Dental Hygiene Pharmacology
2 credit hours - Two hours of lecture weekly; one term. Examine basic pharmaceutical medicine related to the practice of dental hygiene. Discuss general principles, medications that alter dental treatment, and dental hygiene considerations. Describe drugs that are commonly used in dentistry and potential adverse reactions, characteristics and mechanisms of drug actions, pharmacokinetics, clinical pharmacokinetics, and routes of administration.
