ENG102 — Academic Writing and Research 2

3 credit hours - Three hours lecture weekly; one term. This course meets the English Composition General Education Requirement. Develop advanced critical writing, reading, and thinking skills. Compose analytical and argumentative essays, culminating in the production of an independent, extensive, multiple-source, fully documented research paper. Analyze a variety of texts through close reading and explore their cultural, historical, and social contexts. Learn advanced research techniques, including formulation of research questions, identification of multiple audiences, analysis of rhetorical situations, and ethical research tactics.
