HUS114H — Counseling, Assessment and Case Management - Honors
3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. Examine professionalism in the counseling field, including professional ethics and legal duties. Identify the components of a ing relationship. Explore counseling and case management skills and techniques. Demonstrate communication skills that enhance the exchange of information including multicultural interviewing techniques. Apply assessment and the subsequent treatment planning skills associated with case management and counseling. Determine and evaluate outcome goals for intervention. Note: Also as HUS 114 ; credit is not given for both HUS 114 and HUS 114H. As part of the course, students will complete a capstone research project: Students will refine their research and critical thinking skills to complete the project successfully.
