3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. This course meets the Arts & Humanities General Education Requirement. Learn basic Japanese pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar with an emphasis on simple conversation. Learn the hiragana and katakana writing systems and 30 kanji characters. Note: This course is not for students who are already proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Japanese.
