MAT034 — Quantitative Foundations

4 equivalent hours - Four hours weekly; one term. Study foundational algebraic and numeric topics essential in preparing students for MAT 135 or MAT 100 or MAT 133 . Explore topics involving quantitative relationships, algebraic reasoning, functional reasoning, and probabilistic and statistical reasoning. Incorporate problem-solving skills, quantitative communication skills, and the use of technology. Note: A grade of at least C in MAT 034 is required to enroll in MAT 100 , MAT 133 , MAT 135 or MAT 135H . Either MAT 034 or MAT 035 serves as a Students should enroll in only one of MAT 034 or MAT 035 .
