4 equivalent hours - Four hours weekly; one term. Study pre-algebra and beginning algebra topics necessary to succeed in College Algebra. Topics include operations on real numbers; simplifying expressions; solving first-degree equations, inequalities and application problems; graphing linear equations; simplifying exponents; operations on polynomials; and factoring polynomials .
