MAT100 — The Nature of Mathematics
3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. This course meets the Mathematics General Education Requirement Encounter mathematical reasoning through an exposure to inductive methods, problem-solving techniques and the organization of information to discover patterns. Explore geometric topics and the connections between mathematics, the arts, and the social sciences. Study topics such as management science, sequences, fractals, mathematics of finance, probability and statistics.
