3 credit hours - 3 hours weekly; one term. Formerly MAT 142 - College Algebra and Trigonometry 2 This course meets the Mathematics General Education Requirement Study trigonometry and advanced algebra to prepare for calculus. Trigonometric topics include angle measurement, definitions of the six trigonometric functions from the right triangle and unit circle perspectives, graphs, identities, inverses and equations. Algebraic topics include conic sections, polar coordinates, and a review of functions and graphs. Note: Credit is not given for both MAT 146 and MAT 151 .
