MAT221 — Fundamental Concepts of Mathematics 1
4 credit hours - Four hours weekly; one term. This course meets the Mathematics General Education Requirement Primarily for students in the elementary education and early childhood education programs. Demonstrate efficiency using decimal and non-decimal numeral systems, mental computations, estimation, set theory, functions, algorithms and understand their historical development, logic and number theory. Apply problem-solving techniques within each topic. Although MAT 221 and MAT 222 can be taken in either order, the sequential order is recommended.
