3 credit hours - Three hours weekly, one term. Survey the development of music in the western world from the late baroque period through the nineteenth century. Emphasis is placed on stylistic analysis of the music. Note: Although MUS 260 and MUS 261 can be taken in either order, the sequential order is recommended.
