4 credit hours - Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. This course meets the Biological and Physical Sciences General Education Requirement. Discover the fundamental concepts and methods of physics, as a continuation of PHY 111. Study physical principles and their application to algebra and trigonometry based mathematical analysis of physical problems. Analyze topics including electricity and magnetism, electric circuits, optics, quantum mechanics, and special relativity. Meets the requirements of career programs and transfer programs in liberal arts, secondary education, and health-related fields that require algebra-based general physics. Lab fee $10.
