RAD111 — Radiographic Procedures 1: Positioning and Patient Care
4 credit hours - Two hours of lecture and four hours of college laboratory weekly; one term. Formerly RAD 111 Radiographic Procedures 1 Review basic medical terminology, medical and legal ethics, history of radiography, infection control, radiation protection and the healthcare system. Identify fundamental skills for radiographic procedures of the chest, abdomen, and extremities to include shoulder and pelvis. Demonstrate appropriate patient care, proper equipment use, application of radiation safety, body mechanics, universal precautions, vital signs assessment, medical emergencies and management of the patient with special needs during supervised lab sessions.
