RAD250 — Radiation Biology, Protection, and Safety
4 credit hours - 45 hours of lecture and 30 hours of college lab; one term Investigate the principles of the effects of radiation on human cells. Examine the responsibility of the radiographer to protect patients, personnel and the public from the effects of radiation. Discuss and apply calculations of permissible radiation dosage and the effect of laws and regulations on radiation protection. Prepare for the national certification examination. Lab fee $250.
