SOC111H — Introduction to Sociology - Honors

3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. This is an honors course. This course meets the Social & Behavioral Sciences General Education Requirement. This course meets the Diversity Requirement. Apply sociological principles and perspectives to interpret and explain everyday social life. Analyze meanings and functions of various roles individuals perform in historical and contemporary societies. Examine and discuss the lived experiences, knowledge, and histories of historically marginalized groups. Evaluate causes, consequences and comparisons of social hierarchies. Also as SOC 111 .
