3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. This course meets the Arts & Humanities General Education Requirement. Engage in conversations on and write about familiar topics using simple sentences in the present, near future, and past. Identify main ideas in short informational and fictional texts. Compare cultural products, practice, and perspective of Spanish-speaking communities. Crosslisted: Also as SPA 112H ; credit is not given for both SPA 112 and SPA 112H . Note: Credit is not given for both SPA 112 and SPA 141 and also SPA 141H . This course is not recommended for students who are already proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish.
