SPA140 — Elementary Spanish for Health Care 1

3 credit hours - Three hours lecture weekly; one term. This course meets the Arts and Humanities General Education Requirement. Build vocabulary and grammar skills for the purpose of reading, writing, listening and speaking in medical settings with Spanish-speaking patients. Learn pertinent information about Spanish-speaking cultures as it applies to a healthcare setting while participating in language tasks through listening, reading, writing, and conversation. Crosslisted: Also as SPA 140H ; credit is not given for both SPA 140 and SPA 140H . Note: Credit will not be given for both SPA 140 and SPA 111 or SPA 140 and SPA 111H . This course is not for students who are already proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish.
