CISM129 — Problem Solving Using Artificial Intelligence

This course provides students with an introduction to artificial intelligence and its applications in problem-solving. Topics include, but are not limited to, the use of machine learning, chatbots, computer vision, natural language processing, and the critical thinking and reasoning skills needed to work with AI. Students will examine a variety of computer programs that allow computers to learn from examples or experience, rather than just following instructions written by humans. Through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, students will develop knowledge, skills, and abilities to access, organize, and present information using computer technologies. Additionally, students will learn how to use AI to analyze data and make informed decisions. Meets General Education Requirement for Technology.
