Elementary Teacher Education Associate in Arts for Transfer
The Associate in Arts in Elementary Teacher Education for Transfer degree is designed to prepare students for transfer to a California State University traditional or integrated teacher preparation program in Multiple Subject (Elementary School) and Special Education. The Associate in Arts in Elementary Teacher Education for Transfer degree incorporates the elementary subject matter competence requirements as established by the California Teacher Credentialing Commission and prepares students for the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) and California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) Multiple Subjects exam. Additionally, the degree may also serve as preparation for paraprofessional positions in the K-12 classroom.
