Media Arts Certificate of Achievement
The Bakersfield College Media Arts Certificate of Achievement is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in media arts. The Media Arts Certificate is a 6 class program where students will learn production processes and techniques including script writing, storyboarding, cinematography, video editing, and animation. In these project based classes students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge using professional grade cameras equipment and software. Media arts skills are increasingly needed by visual communicators, and this program will provide entry-level competencies for a number of career paths, such as: videographer, photographer, motion graphics designer, animator, video editor, film editor, cinematographer, colorist, film producer, and filmmaker.
