The Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Management Certificate of Achievement provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to perform at an entry-level position in private and public agencies, such as community parks, sports facilities, and recreation centers, and in various careers, including event planning, recreational program planning, sport and tournament planning, hospitality, therapeutic recreation, and tourism. Students will learn leadership skills, how to develop programs for diverse populations, and also be able to address health and safety concerns while administering these programs. Upon completion of the required courses with at least a “C” or “P” grade in each course, the student will be eligible for a Certificate of Achievement.
