Topics will include an introduction to the main groups of microorganisms and their physiology, soil microbiology, cycles of the elements, aquatic microbiology, sewage treatment, bioremediation, and applied microbiology encompassing food microbiology, industrial microbiology and biotechnology. Prerequisite(s): BIO-101 ; BIO-203 Syllabus for this course
