COM-212 — Copy Editing
3 Lecture Hour(s) This course provides hands-on training in all phases of editing and preparing news copy for publication in various print and online media, and the writing of headlines and photo captions and cutlines. It covers local news, wire copy, assembling and shaping the various elements of news stories, the requirements of news style and safeguards against errors. Prerequisite(s): ENG-101 ; Minimum grade C Syllabus for this course
