HIS-131 — Latin American History since the Independence
3 Lecture Hour(s) This course is a study of Latin America since 1850. The course analyzes the development of the region’s principal countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, and Mexico. Regionalism, cultural development, the impact of American and world politics, dictatorships, land reforms, and constitutional issues relative to these countries are considered.
