HIM-203 — Medical Coding Professional Practice
An introduction into functions of a health information management (HIM) department providing applicable hands-on work experience to prepare for employment in the HIM field. Dealing with acute, ambulatory or long-term care settings, topics include record content, medical coding, electronic medical records, automated encoding software and billing systems. Prior completion of Medical Coding Technical Skills Certificate recommended.
