MAT-218 — Probability & Statistics for Scientists & Engineers
A study of probability and statistical theory with emphasis on applications in engineering and related sciences. The course covers collection, processing, analysis, and interpretation of numerical data. Major course topics are probability, random variables and probability distribution, expectation, discrete and continuous probability distributions, sampling distribution and graphical tools, estimation problems, and hypothesis testing.
Prerequisites: MAT-151, MAT-152
