ATSC 110L — Meteorology Lab

Credits: 1 Corequisite: Concurrent registration in, or previous successful completion of, ATSC 110 . Typically Offered: SPRING ATSC 110L is the lab portion of an introductory course in Meteorology designed for non-technical students. This course will provide an overview of atmospheric structures and factors that can affect weather. This class will communicate the importance of temperature, pressure, and humidity for the development of clouds and precipitation. Additionally, this course will cover the development of mid-latitude cyclones, hurricanes, thunderstorms, and global climate change, as well as recent advances in forecasting and remote sensing.
