Credits: 3 Typically Offered: FASPSU This course discusses the historic overview of the events of terrorism that lead to the establishment of the Department of Homeland Security, statutory authority, organization/reorganization of agencies, weapons of mass destruction and safety and security to provide for a safe America. Introduction to Homeland Security provides important and up-to-date information about terrorism, terrorist behavior, homeland security policies and dilemmas, and how to deal effectively with threats and the consequences of attacks.
