CMT 120 — Construction Safety

Credits: 4 Typically Offered: FALL This course provides an overview of construction industry standards and practices for accident prevention, hazard identification, and compliance with safety regulations. Emphasis is placed on understanding the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and other federal and state legislative requirements. Students will explore safety methods, procedures, and equipment used to ensure field safety across various phases of construction projects. Upon successful completion of the course, students will earn the OSHA 30 credential, demonstrating proficiency in construction safety standards and practices.
