EDUC 101 — Introduction to Substitute Teaching

Credits: 1 Corequisites: EDUC 102 and EDUC 103 Typically Offered: FASPSU A course on the role of the substitute teacher in the school and community. This course will explore the different types of substitute teaching placements and who are key contacts in each environment and how/when to communicate with them. It includes instruction on how to interpret and implement lesson plans and meet lesson objectives, especially in literacy and math. Exploration of applications to school districts will be included.
