GEOL 105L — Physical Geology Lab
Credits: 1 Corequisite: Concurrent registration in, or successful completion of, GEOL 105 . Typically Offered: FALL Two hours of lab per week. Laboratory topics include identification of minerals and rocks with emphasis on traditional diagnostic techniques; interpretation of topographic and geologic maps, folding and faulting of the crust; analysis of stream drainage patterns and groundwater resources; location of earthquake foci; and the development of topographic surfaces through the processes of erosion and deposition.
