MMAT 152 — Equipment and Systems II
Credits: 3 Typically Offered: SPRING This course explores the principles, applications, and maintenance of various pumps (centrifugal, propeller, rotary, reciprocating, metering, and specialized) and turbines. Topics include: Equipment selection factors; valve operation and maintenance (gate, globe, ball, plug, check); steam traps, actuators, and accessories; and specialized pumps for corrosive and abrasive substances. By covering both theory and practice, this course provides a comprehensive understanding of pump, turbine, and valve technology.
