CJST200 — Intro Crim Justice Sys

This course introduces the fundamentals of the United States criminal justice system, including the historical and theoretical development and resulting modern organizations. A survey of law enforcement, court systems, corrections, juvenile justice, theories of crime, and constitutional aspects of law enforcement and public safety are provided. A review of agencies involved in the process of the administration of justice, and career opportunities across the criminal justice system are covered. Prerequisite/Corequisite(s): ENGL 101 or; ENGL 101 and ENGL101L
