CJST286 — Victimology
This course examines victims of crime, the process and consequences of victimization, and victimology as a branch of criminology. It focuses on the study of crime victims, their experiences, and the sociological, psychological, and legal impacts of crime on their lives and society. Students will explore victims’ rights, services available for victims, victim compensation, and the role of victims within the criminal justice system.
