HSRV101 — Intro to Social Work & HSRV

Students will be introduced to human services and the major policies and practices used to understand human services as a profession. Students will study the evolution and history of human services and social welfare policy. Students will begin the process of self-awareness and growth in relation to ing others. The course explores the skills, ethics, values, and knowledge needed to work effectively as a culturally competent human service professional in a multidisciplinary setting. Prerequisite/Corequisite(s): PSYC 203 - ~Introduction to Psychology and SOCI 203 - ~General Sociology
