The course coordinates with local medical office sites to provide students with hands-on clinical and administrative experience in a medical office setting. The student will attend one hundred uncompensated hours at the assigned site. Clinical and administrative competencies will be evaluated by an assigned preceptor and under the direction of the Medical Assistant Externship Coordinator (MAEC). The student is required to be in contact with the MAEC one month prior to registering for this course.
